Material and Methods: Sixty extracted single-root human teeth, instrumented manually to size 40, were divided into three groups (n=20) according to the sealer used; G1: AH Plus, G2: EndoREZ, and group was randomly divided into two subgroups according to the tests applied (n=10 for ! Failure modes were examined under microscopy at 40x, and a one-way ANOVA was applied to analyze the permeability. Non-parametrical statistics for related (Friedman's and Wilcoxon's rank tests) or unrelated samples (Kruskal-Wallis' and Mann-Whitney's tests) allowed for comparisons of μPush-out strength values among materials at the different levels. Evaluation of root canal obturation: a three-dimensional in vitro study.

The aim of the study was to measure percentage of volume of voids and gaps in root canals obturated with different obturation materials by using micro-computed tomography (micro-CT). Forty-eight single-rooted teeth were collected and decoronated, and root canals were prepared by using rotary files. The roots were randomly allocated into 4 groups, and each group was obturated by using cold later...

Comparative Evaluation of Fracture Resistance of Endodontically Treated Teeth Obturated with Resin Based Adhesive Sealers with Conventional Obturation Technique: An In vitro Study

BACKGROUND To compare fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth obturated with different resin-based adhesive sealers with a conventional obturation technique. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 60 Single canaled teeth were divided into five groups. The first group was taken as a negative control. The rest of the groups were shaped using ProFile rotary files (Dentsply Maillefer, Balla...

Apical microleakage of different root canal sealers after use of maleic acid and EDTA as final irrigants.

This study aimed to compare the effects of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) and maleic acid (MA) on the sealing ability of various root canal sealers. Eighty root canals were instrumented and irrigated with either EDTA or MA. They were divided into eight experimental groups and obturated as follows: Group 1: MA + Hybrid Root SEAL/gutta-percha. Group 2: EDTA + Hybrid Root SEAL/gutta-percha...

A laboratory assessment of coronal bacterial leakage in root canals filled with new and conventional sealers.

AIM To evaluate the resistance to ex vivo bacterial leakage over a 40-day period of root canal fillings with five new root canal sealers: RC Sealer, Epiphany, EndoREZ, GuttaFlow and Acroseal, compared with Apexit, AH Plus and RoekoSeal. METHODOLOGY One hundred and forty-four single rooted human teeth were divided randomly into eight test (n = 15) and two control groups (n = 12). The root cana...
